Idea Cellular launches dual sim 3G Aurus II smartphone


Idea Cellular has launched its first Android 4.1 based 3G smart phone, the Aurus II. The dual SIM phone comes with a price tag of only Rs 6,490 and this probably makes it the cheapest with the said features.

Idea 3G Aurus 2 has a 3.2 MP camera and 1 GHz processor, plus has video calling enabled. The smartphone has 512 MB RAM and 4GB ROM of which 1.5 GB is usable. There is also a front facing VGA camera. The 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen has a resolution of 320×480 pixels.

The cellular company is known for its obsession with 3G smartphones, and has the Ivory and Zeal line in place apart from the Aurus. It claims to have sold over 3 lakh 3G smartphones in the last one year. The benefits that come with its smartphones are a 1.6 GB 3G data and Idea TV subscription free for first three months.
