ADAPT or Adopt a plant is an initiative taken by LEADERS FOR TOMORROW, to try and enable the youth to do their bit in saving the environment.
The program ADAPT is created with an intention to awaken the youth and help them make a better future. The need to save the environment, reduce India’s carbon footprints and maintain nature in its pristine form is well understood. With the rapid industrialization, economic growth and modernization, the dependence on fuel sources like coal, petrol, diesel etc. have increased exponentially in order to meet the rapidly increasing energy demands. To regulate or control the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere the simplest thing that virtually anyone can do, is to plant a sapling. A fully grown tree can on an average absorb about 2 tons of carbon dioxide per annum.
If each one of us can take the responsibility of planting and adopting at least one tree, then it will be a great step towards a better tomorrow.
Keeping the same in mind Leaders for Tomorrow has organized an Adopt a Plant campaign where each one of us gets an opportunity to do our bit. Everybody is invited to plant a sapling whether they are a member of LFT DTU or not. Let us not fail to do the little something we can.
