Apple maps for iPhone 5 / iOS 6 driving you crazy? Get Google maps!

The Google map app is not yet available for iPhone 5 users yet (for obvious reasons). Apple does not want Google to influence its users. But the new maps’ devastating results have left Apple users with no choice but to get Google maps.

For any mobile browser (including in iOS6), you can easily access Google Maps. Here are the steps to be followed.

Open Safari Browser –> go to maps.google.com –> click on share button. If you are using iPhone the share button is at middle in bottom of the screen; if you are using iPad it is in top –> tap “Add to Home Screen” –> Add in upper right corner of screen

Now whenever you wish to use Google maps, simply tap on this icon.

With Google Maps, you can identify your current location; get direction by car, transit or walking; see popular landmarks, restaurants and stations. If you are signed in to your Google Accounts, you can also see your recent searches, stored locations and My Maps.
