Excitement gleaming in your eyes. A smile playing on your lips. Amazing company . Wallet lighter by rupees 1000. Its movie time folks. Enter the barely lit hall. Occupy your pricey seats . Patiently watch the endless stream of mindless advertisements. Movie starts. Story progresses .
THE ‘OH I HAVE SEEN BEFORE’ MOMENT
feeling of deja vu bounces off you a hundred times. Turns out you spent your dearly earned money on a flick which was ‘inspired’ from the same 120 minute saga that played on star world last night.

Once again bollywood movies enacted the similar choreographed sequence of copying the English blockbusters and presenting it in a new shiny wrapper with a sprinkling of b-town stars. Movies are a medium for expression of creativity and art. The canvass is painted with hues of creativity to get a movie as a final product. The die – hard fans of slapstick comedy would disagree but the movies need to a backbone . Even a spineless comedy would not garner audience . A movie needs to have substance . The stars with their even starry tantrums can occupy a back seat.

The new age movies seem to churn the old formula and present to the blindfold audience. Other tricks to lure audience include exotic locations. The beaches of even a nation like bermuda are hogged by directors. It all started with swiss and like a group of explorers , our directors conquered new territories. But these spellbinding movie locations cannot compensate for lacklustre story .

Also another tactic emplyed is the glorification of already glorified stars. From blossoming romances to controversial songs or reference to their near perfect figures, the general public gets it share of snippets and that too just miraculous just before the movie is set to hit the threatres. The celebrities hog the page 3 parties , use flowery language to describe their wonderful experience and even perform stunts like posing with snakes. Again they fail to realise that the movie’s fate is sealed by the actions of creativity team not the publicity machinary.

So all those artistic souls donning the director’s hat ,
GIVE ASTRONOMICAL SALARY TO YOUR SCRIPTWRITERS:P

and dont even ATTEMPT to write them on your own
rest assured , history will be yours!!!!!!!!

bollywood needs some creativity at the moment…..

publicity and prmotion are not evrything in this show business….some gud acting , music and atleast a proper story….
