All those football fans enchanted by the player generally regarded as the “best player of the generation” have a huge treat awaiting.
The Argentinean Team is scheduled to play a friendly againstVenezuelaat Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium. And its not just an Argentinean team sans their best players. Players like Sergio Aguerro , Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain, Julian Mascherano are all coming. A notable exception is Carlos Tevez who has been omitted from the star-studded team. Which means that Messi will be playing his FIRST match as the full time captain. An exciting prospect for all the Messi fans.
The Salt Lake Stadium with a capacity of 1,20,000 is one of the largest stadiums in the world and located in undisputedly the most football crazy part of the country. Imagine the stadium filled to the capacity and the crowd chanting the name of Messi.
A treat for Indian football fans for sure!
