He left her behind and walked away. “Dudeee” Veer leaned on his car and watched her come.
“Dude kya hua itni jaldi kyon aa gaye?”
“I am your boss you don’t get to ask questions now drive….”
“But dude we could at least wait for the games. Sourav was also so keen on playing even…”
“Ah so you seem to have made many friends…”

She extended her hand to open the car but he shifted and leaned on the driver’s window.
“What dude I was enjoying I was….”

He grabbed her by the shoulder and may be for the first time in life showed some reflex and pinned her to the car… “Du….” And he smacked his lips on hers and kissed her with all the anger and frustration he had within. Barkha didn’t respond but didn’t push him away. He placed his body weight on hers and deepened the kiss. After a while Barkha pinched his neck and he let her go. She turned around and opened the door and got in.

“Shit what have I done….”
He rushed and got in beside her. Barkha was busy wiping her lips with tissues.
“You oldie kabhi kisi larki ko kiss nehi kia? You are such a bad kisser and your mouth tastes of some ginger anti throat drop.”
“I am sorry…’
“You better be and remember you could be in jail for outraging the modesty of a woman. Section 354 of IPC, ab chalu gari lekar seedhe PS?”
“I said I am sorry I I …..”
“You are a frustrated old man….”

Veer never felt so ashamed of himself. It would have been better if she would have slapped him. He tried making conversation but she had her ear plugs on. That night had more in store for Veer. Their car broke down, and Barkha got down and he quietly followed Barkha. “Fuck flat tyre….” “Barkha ab kya kare?” “Kuch nehi is tyre ke maut ka jashn manaye….typical jerk gari hai par tyre badalni nehi aati….” Barkha was changing the tyre and Veer felt like covering her up. Her already short dress was inching upward and Veer didn’t have the guts to do anything. He helplessly watched and felt he would cry any moment. Just when she was down they heard two bikers hoot “oyye chikni chameli….” Veer stood between the men and Barkha, ‘Barkha get in….” But sad she didn’t give him a chance.

She went ahead and punched one of them, “saaley chikni hu but boxing champ bhi hu larega aa….” The men vanished and Veer said to himself, “Sita Ma ko to dharti le gayi mujhe bhi le jao dharti Ma I am such a loser.”

They drove quietly and when Veer realized they were about to reach home Veer said “Barkha I am really sorry I was so frustrated when I saw you dancing with other men…..”
“Why? I am not your property. Hey take the keys….” And next he heard was her car leave.

He couldn’t sleep that night. “I am sure she has left the job. I am so helpless What do I do now!?” What Veer didn’t know was his Dadi was watching him closely. “Sonny you are in love ab mujhe hi kuch karna hoga…” The lady had never met Barkha in person but she adored the young woman. It was 9 the usual time for Barkha to come but she didn’t come. “Ek baar phone karu kya? No it’s no use….” “Veer Sir….” It was his housekeeper Deepak, “ap ko nehi jana kya gari wait kar rahi hai….” “Barkha?” “Ji….” He doubled the steps and opened the car door.
“Barkha….”
“Hmm….”
“Barkha….”
“Ooof kya hai? Mere naam ka Viva dena hai kya?”
“Nehi…”
‘Then get in and lemme drive….”

Just when he thought he would confess his feelings she said “Dude eight months come to an end tomorrow iske baad I am leaving for Phuket. And you have still not learnt to drive
