Throughout history, the term “entrepreneurship” has been synonymous with achievements. In olden times, it was the architect of a war, in medieval times it was the industrial revolution, modern times have brought the corporate entities, but throughout, it has been the innate desire of mankind to innovate and create more wealth, that has advanced our civilization from wooden houses with thatched roofs to high-rises which are giving the largest mountains on earth a run for their money! Hence it goes without saying that this spirit of “entrepreneurship” should be encouraged.
E-Summit 11 is an initiative of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, DCE that aims to bring together the entrepreneurial passions of the country to converge on one platform. Through this event, E Cell wishes to provide the students from different parts of the country a chance to come up with their best ideas and plans and pit them against the best brains. It also seeks to promote innovation and creativity, the pillars of development and encourage entrepreneurship based on it, for “developing newer technologies” itself is a form of entrepreneurship!
Overview of the Events:
Each event in E-Summit 2011 will be focused at finding the hidden entrepreneurs among us and giving them the right platform and guidance to achieve their goals. The competitions bring out the best in the participants, the judges and the panelists point out the pros and cons of the ideas. Further, as everyone gets a chance to mingle with the best from all over the country, they get a lot of exposure and this helps develop in more than one dimension.
Celebrating the spirit of Social Entrepreneurship.. Driven with the vision to create better ways to help people grow.
B PLAN COMPETITION
The B-Plan Competition has always been a huge success. Hence it shall be conducted. This time, we will make sure more students get to know about it all over India, thus adding more colors to the vibrant event.
DTU has always created leaders in every field. Continuing this tradition, Leadership Lectures shall be arranged wherein we wish to keep a day separate for inviting our distinguished alumni.
As innovation is an act which endows resources with a new capacity to create new wealth and spark out progress; the INNOVATION FARE gives a chance for teams from various colleges to launch their vision and learn how their idea will play out in the real life markets.
The participants can display their product/idea in the presence of our esteemed judges, other successful technocrats who would provide their invaluable inputs and also in front of other students. The way the product will be interpreted when exposed to industrial production and sale will also be talked about.
Panel discussion is an integral part of any e-summit event. We will make better and bigger and more interesting to ensure that the student community benefits maximum from the great academicians and industrialists who will enlighten them with their views and experiences. Here we wish to include a topic dedicated to Indian Culture and the need for bright minds to undertake an Academic career. Also there will be separate discussion on youth issues and how the youth can help in major issues facing the country.
