Zynga’s Farmville took people by storm and millions of people could be seen getting obsessed with planting farms and caring for animals virtually. Since 2009, the game developed a huge playerbase. But like everything else, interest started dwindling.
So now you have brand new Farmville 2 to get you busy again!
What is different this time around?
Zynga team has really worked heavily on the graphics and user interface. You can see that they have made it more visually appealing. Also in the screen you can see a town far away. Apparently, they want to make it a full fledged social world soon. The farm is now surrounded not only by greenery but signs of city life too.
You also get option to select all crops in a sweep paint motion to water them. That ways you do not have to keep clicking and using your fingers. Some of the work actions have been handled with better user control to reduce your clicking and selecting.
To test the new features, Zynga had launched a Farmville lookalike game called Big Harvest in Phillipines some time back and tested with an actual player base.
What will happen to Farmville?
Zynga assures that unlike most sequels, Farmville 2 does not aim at taking away Farmville original players. Instead a separate team is at this very moment working on Farmville to make that better too.
So new and old players alike can enjoy Farmville as well as Farmville 2.
