Google misspells its own product

“Dear @google, If you hire me, I promise to never misspell your product names. I’m great at proofing”

If you are busy on twitter, you would have seen similar tweets floating around by now. And if you ever used Google Wave, you would have got this mail by now telling about its shuttering down.

See something out of place? Yes, Google apparently forgot the correct name of it’s own product “Google Wave”. In the email sent  millions of its users, “Google Wave” has been spelled as “Google Wage”

Though the event can be laughed off, but I came across an interesting theory floating that says Google is struggling with it’s business beyond Google Ads. Technically speaking, it’s earnings and popularity is mainly because of its ad programs, and considering that so many other models are coming up based not only on your search profile but also associative and discovery-oriented advertising based on user-profiling derived from new sources such as social networks and e-commerce visits.

Google Plus is also in unsteady waters at present. Though if Facebook continues to experiment with its looks and features at this rate, I might be soon moving from FB to Google Plus!
