Heads Down, You Low Rankers!

The minute results were out, the positions were changed. (Not formal positions, but very important anyway)

Now one fool (because she was fooling around all year, I’m not in position to call her stupid, no!) has miraculously (you see I now firmly believe in occurrence of miracles) scored a rank far better than me. And since then she has been in touch with me. I have suddenly (and maybe very luckily) become her favorite person for making queries about everything related to colleges, admissions, counseling procedures.

She is only one case. I’m surrounded by such upper-positioned people, who have, within minutes of result-declaration, gained such impressive confidence and demeanor.

See this is no excuse or explanation for failure of a low-positioned. Nor am I saying that a three-hour exam cannot judge your talents (it has already been said so many times!).  Nor do I criticize celebration of an achievement.

I am just paying respect to people like those mentioned, by dedicating this piece of my writing entirely to them, whose self-respect, confidence and happiness is in sync with results (I would have liked to pity them, but again I am not in position):D

PS : Wondering if now I should look down upon friends who scored less than me, haha :D
