Improvising your own song

Whenever someone uses the word composer, inevitably, the names of Beethoven, Bach, and other classical personages come to mind.
Most listerners of music thwart as to how a piece of music is constructed. Music composition is not something gifted to individuals do but the reality is intuitive sense behind music creating melody can not be taught, the craft can!

Music composition is all about creating structure. Form is to music what book arranging is to Librarian. The goal in both cases is to create something pleasing to the eye. Neither Musician nor Librarian would stack everything all to one side, they want the audience to have a complete pleasing expierence.

The most important thing while creating your own composition is to learn improvising grow your ability to move forward without criticizing yourself. Remember improvisation come before composition,it is important to free yourself from judging the product and developing the ability to move forward.

Now, we are going to discuss about the variation in theme on Piano, the eight bar concept.
While Composing we need a theme first, eight bars are the perfect size to have a theme, now we required to choose between chords and melody, most composers like to start with melody as it’s a easier to create variations for a simple melody than it is to create different textures for chord changes. Once the first 8-bars is complete, we harmonize it and we have the complete theme.However, beginners must create three variations at the most, start out with something slow. If you think you have created something good write out eight bars on a sheet of music paper, write out the chord changes, if you the piece is in the key of A minor, the first two-bars may be on A minor chor, the next two-bars, F major chord and so on, complete your theme.

Remember, Music is like designing a form, It is like a structure which can be made in different froms such as ABA forms, sonata allegro form, and so on. An ABA form composed of the A section (8-measure) B section (4 or more measure) then back to A section.
A piece of composition made from ABA form can last anywhere from 1 minute to 6 minute or even longer depending on tempo or how fast the piece moves through time, however, most small ABA sections don’t last longer than 2-3 minutes because if they were repeated for longer period of time, the music would turn out to berepitious and boring.

The solution to this is to add another section of music in it and making it ABACABA where, c section is added to provide the relief the ear is searching for and creating longer pieces.
