In my lonely days

In my lonely days
There was no one to embrace
I walked all alone
With people unknown.

There was no one to wipe my tears
And none to share my fears
No one could understand my plight
Because everyone was busy in their own fight.

My life was dark
I was in search of a spark
That could illuminate my life
And end my strife.

I vainly searched it outside
But found it inside,
It was within me
I just couldn’t see

In my lonely days
Through life’s hard ways
I could forget my pain
And embrace life again.
