The words mean more than just the literal translation, they reverberate a sense of togetherness, the sense of belonging to a country with a rich past, a great present and a promising future. The lines are sung in unison by children and adults with equal pride and honor.
Unfortunately, the title of the post that says that “Jana Gana Mana has been declared best anthem by UNESCO” is a hoax. I have been reading this for some time on various Facebook and Twitter accounts. But try googling the fact and you will see this thing has been doing the rounds for some years.
But hey, do we need “UNESCO certification” to prove that this is the best? Naah, Jana Gana Mana, was and always will be close to our hearts and always will be.
