Kshitija Babbar, Rest in Peace

Guru Dronacharya College of Engineering today called the tragic day off when Engineering students cooked down the college buses in ferocity. If the story below is incapable in curving your brows up then call me up, I know a good psychologist.

The last appreciated smile of Kshitija Babbar (middle)

If sources are to be believed, Kshitija Babbar, a 2nd year student of computer science department, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon, collapsed down at college premises on 5th September, reportedly because of previous diabetic problems. The students nearby, at first laughed at the situation but some boys energized themselves to take her to hospital. The more badly drama upturned when the Registrar of college blocked those boys to carry her to hospital because of his stereotyping cheap mentality. After some time, he called and ordered ONLY FEMALES to carry her immobile body which caused delay in the first-aid unfortunately giving way to heart-rending death of the girl.

Students, in return, watered their anger by burning down the School buses and vehicles shortly a day after Teachers’ day. Let us disregard the ill-mannered managerial skill of college which intake lakhs of currency as fees from students and yield no first-aid service in return. Well, what altogether we can do is to pay homage to Kshitija and send a message to all the parents around to be more watchful, just in case, is your child also graduating from such college?

Students made online petition forums for Justice for Khitija which one can follow through following links.

People will come and go. All one can do is to stand against injustice. She’d have seen today’s sunset with her family only if the management of the college was appreciable. Don’t just go alongside the brutal system. Rise.

RIP Kshitija Babbar.

  1. Yikes!!! This is insane. Did the chairman said anything to that teacher? This matter could have been solved. I am myself a student in one of those cheap haryanvi college (PDM, bgarh). These colleges (under MDU) are just running for money and don’t care for the children. Yes we do have freedom in PDM, but you know what there was open firing in our college (and that too two times). These haryanvi teachers think that they are the king, though they don’t even know how to teach, and they don;t even know english.

() And one more thing to add, govt should not allow college to run in remote areas. There should be atleast hospital nearby. I have personally visited this college, and believe me this college is really very deep inside gurgaon (you can’t even call it gurgaon, its farrukhnagar).

() And yeah, really feel sorry for that girl. RIP. Guys please fight for justice. I will try to bring my PDM friends to fight for her. I know this will be really really tough for you. I really doubt whehter the police have even registered the case or not, the chairman must have bribed him. And for those cse guys, you can’t really blame them, they must have been blackailed or something by the management.

    • It is mandatory for colleges/universities to have hospital facilities available on emergencies and at least one in comfortable radius. But usually most colleges (even well reputed ones) have just a namesake in house doctor who is almost just a quack…..
