Life In a Myriad of Abuses

Filed under: Life & Style |

The wildly applauded movie ‘Delhi Belly’ saw the protagonists articulating every human emotion underlined in a stream of abuses. Hardly surprised we were, being accustomed to hurtling abuse at every complexity that knocked on the doors of our lives. Being an observant and avid vagabond, I made a list of human emotions best expressed through a series of ‘beeps’.
THE BEEP LIST *drum roll*: P

BEEP 1: ANGER
The haughty topper of the ‘Beep List’ hardly invites surprise glances. We do it best when we are consumed by anger. No angry combat of words is complete without the ugliest one being enunciated.

BEEP 2: JOY/EXTREME HAPPINESS
A fascinating emotion in sheer contrast to the above occupies a coveted position. In situations of unbounded happiness like managing a second division in college or India lifting the world cup, abuse form an integral part of our dialogues.

BEEP 3: REJECTION
When world is forbidding with rejection in fray; we escape into a world full of ‘beeps’. We lament, complain and shout ‘injustice’ in the form heavily loaded abuses.

BEEP 4: MUNDANE DIASPORA
When life emulates a soap opera with predicted twists and turns, we seek solace in abuses. Abuses decorated with careless sighs. Ah!

BEEP 5: TENSION
The jittery atmosphere at a dentist’s turf or a life-defining result of ‘Paneer tikka’ v/s ‘Seekh Kebab’ ; being engulfed in tension make us more susceptible to utter abuses.

BEEP 6: EUREKA MOMENT
When Archimedes bellowed ‘Eureka’, little did he realize that his word would be slyly replaced by an ornamented abuse. Whether it’s decrypting the concept of relativity or accidently stumbling upon the killer in a murder mystery; we celebrate our moment with an abuse.

BEEP 7: SPEECHLESS MOMENT
Sometimes words desert us and migrate to the intellectual minds of cultured. Then whoa an abuse sashays to our rescue mission and saves us from the unending clouds of silence.

I sincerely hope that you relished my ‘Beep List’ (copyrights owned: P).
