In these days the internet, chat rooms, emails, cell phones & many communications medium all helps to make a long distance relationships much easier and common for all.
Whether it be for college, school, work, or family reasons, sometimes people (couples) have to or even choose to live apart. In addition, with the advent of Internet and communication technologies still people being feel of ignored or distant. With so many couples engaging in long distance relationships, many want to know how to keep their long-distance relationships strong.
First, it’s important that you are both make up your mind to commit to the relationship completely. Long distance relationships are hard enough. Long distance relationships can be difficult to manage, but that does not mean they are impossible.
We should have regular contact times. It may be like having phone conferencing or video chat. So that it to seem like they are there with you & do not go for long periods without speaking to each other. But don’t try to make communication too frequent otherwise it would be counter. Let see if you call every day, conversations might start to feel like a “chore.” Weekly calls allow you to update each other with interesting updates and really have something to say when you do call. And always keep a fresh communication. Never try to have an argument over phone. If it seems argument going in that direction, try to hang up peacefully. That’s the way to go in Long Distance Relationships!
Always be honest and truthful. Trust is key when you can’t see your partner every day and be intimate when you want to. Be honest and also sometimes talk about how you feel about the relationship. Also let to know your partner your expectations of the Long Distance Relationships.
Keep each other involved in what’s going on in the others life. Make your partner feel comfortable, loved and a part of your life. It would help you both to prevent misunderstanding and a good foundation of love. Visit regularly. Each person should take time to visit the other in a long distance relationship. Spend holidays together and get together at least one weekend a month to enjoy each other company and to grow the relationship.
