“Hello, are you there?”
“Who is this?”
“Well….I am Ram, am I speaking to Nita”
“No. Sorry, wrong number.”
Ram heard a thump on the phone and then those ignorant beeps. He checked the number once again and pressed the green button on his cell phone. Then he heard tring tring!!
“Hi, am I speaking to Nita?”
“Hey you man, this is the Panguwin library, why do you keep disturbing again and again.” Said the harsh female voice.
Thump!
There was something about her, something different, was it her voice or her way of speaking it was addictive even for a guy who doesn’t like to talk much, makes him feel worse if he didn’t talk to Nita.
It was a beautiful sunny day, the sky was blue and the wind God was quite kind to provide us with a cool breeze, softly bustling near your ears. Ram woke up early, he had some assignment that he had to complete, but had no idea what to do, because Nita was the one who helped him with all his assignment.
“Man, what a girl!!, ask her any damn thing she had the answer. She makes it seem as if it was so simple.” Ram thought.
But today unfortunately the MTNL service got all fuzzy, he is not able to call Nita now.
“What is wrong if people talk in the morning after a long time, the network may not be used to receiving Good Morning signals,” thought Ram. Now how would she dictate the assignment notes to Ram.
Ram had met Neeta only once in a village library, still they were best friends, talking away all night long about the daily happenings, discussing about each and every aspect of love, flirting and also dictation of assignment notes also couldn’t be left out.
It was just three months to their first meeting and incessant talks on the phone that Ram said he wanted to meet her. She was a clever lady, she told him to see the most beautiful lady in his college and that would be her.
