Once Upon a Time

It was yet another day in the city of dreams.
You have already guessed its name, it seems.
It’s that place where only the fittest can survive.
All their dreams are shattered, no matter how hard they strive .

It was the dawn of the darkest hour of her history.
Few goons began attacking the innocents , reason was a mystery.
They had traveled several miles from Karachi, via the Arabian Sea.
They were perhaps too motivated to kill and began their terror spree.

They had all requisite ammunition like hand grenades and A.K-47,
to give rise to the most horrifying terror strike called 26/11.
They were too encouraged to perform this terror proliferating job,
as they ruthlessly, heartlessly attacked and killed the mob.

They commenced their assignment by bombing the railway station.
Less than a minute later, it turned into a graveyard due to massive destruction.
Then they stealthily moved into the luxurious and glamorous five stars.
Some died and innumerable others had uncountable scars.

The Oberoi Trident, Taj Mahal Palace and Nariman House were plundered.
Hundreds got injured while many others were murdered.
It was the longest wait in history for the commanders to arrive from New Delhi
Finally, some fifty Heroes entered to mend the rough patches in the city.

It was now time for all Indians to see some light.
Those beasts knew that the end was near as the commandoes came in sight.
Commandoes encountered eight and one was taken as a prisoner.
Mumbai was declared finally safe after this fifty hour terror.

It was now time to introspect and ponder over the gaping holes and flaws.
Mumbai forces should have quickly freed the city from their claws.
World had just witnessed one of the darkest terror strikes in history.
Put off Terrorism and build upon virtues of freedom and liberty.
