A woman of Indian society is a deity in treatise and a drudge in concrete life. It’s indubitable that in spite of sanguine meritorious examples of individual attainments of Indian women and an explicit improvement in their general condition over the past hundred years, women even now face a lots of admonished problems like Gender discrimination, Domestic violence, female infanticide, Dowry, lack of education, etc. Why men dismiss the fact that the acumen of their birth is women. Women who gave the man food and milk in his childhood time for growing stronger and muscular is now finding her ways of surviving in this men dominated world.
Let’s discuss the some problems faced by Indian women in more details, to feel the misery behind every catastrophe of her life.
FEMALE FETICIDES: Do you know the discrimination with women starts even before they born? The society’s heinous characters do not let them see the beauty of nature. The constitution of India gives equal rights to men and women, but women don’t even have a chance to be born. What they will do with such official equality. Every year thousands and thousands women killed in their mother’s womb. This is true that Medical termination of pregnancy was introduced in the year 1971, in India, as per its provisions, abortion was permitted under medically approved facilities. However this act does not give freedom to misuse its provisions to abort Female Foetcides.
Why do parents kill their daughters?
The preeminent reason behind it is Dowry. The Demand of dowry commences at the time of marriage and has no end. The Parents absolves themselves by saying that if they don’t give cash as dowry and then who will marry their daughters, that’s why they kill them for better future. It is not surprising that women are also part of this in-human act.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Violence can be ensued with women anywhere. The home was envisaged to be well secured place for them, but this was a plain myth after countless cases against women, it has been proven that woman is not even secure in her home. The violence can be physical as well as emotional. The violence starts at the early age when parents and male members of family torture them in different situations. The violence continues after marriage. For instance, at the adolescence age, if the parents refused to send their girl child to school, or not give the equal rights as per their male siblings, it is treated as Domestic violence.
How could Domestic violence be countered?
1) Girls should share their problems with police, society, friends, and other helping communities.
2) The cases of Domestic violence should not be considered as Personal issues, it should be treated as crime against women.
3) Tolerating violence in the sake of safeguarding family honor would not help the condition, it would only make the situation erroneous.
4) Need of law for emancipating the praise of women in the society. The law against domestic violence is still waiting to be cleared by parliament.
DOWRY: Dowry refers to an amount in cash or kind given to groom and his family by the girl’s family. Eminently the dowry is demanded by groom’s family as a pre marriage condition. The family treats their daughters as a hindrance part of their life. They think marriage is the only destination in girl’s life. They cross every deadline at the time their girl’ marriage, as they also sell their hard earned possessions and even self-respect.
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DOWRY AND GIFT. The father of the girl can gift anything of his choice at the time of marriage, it’s a gift perceived as memory of her old life.
Realizing the jeopardy of Dowry, Government of India passes a law against Dowry in 1961. The act defined Dowry as “a property given in consideration of marriage, and as a condition of the marriage taking place.” Both giving and receiving dowry were considered offence under this Act, which carried a punishment of six months and fine of five thousand. Because of further pressures by women’s movement the punishment was increased to minimum five years and fine of ten thousand or value of dowry, whichever is greater in amount.
In spite of strict laws, the dowry system is still running in our society. Most of the time the bride and her family never complaint for save-guarding family honor.
After all this given, the parents still think that their daughters are happy? Are marriages last goal for women? Are marriages more important than life of the women? Think about it.

LACK OF EDUCATION: Woman never got her equal share of attention. From an antediluvian time, women were excluded from the educational field. According to social evils, women need just household education and this perception is still surviving in villages of India today. Whereas Although synopsis in urban areas has changed a lot and women are opting for higher education but majority of Indian population residing in villages still live in antediluvian time. The major reason behind it is their poor economic condition.

The main reason for not sending girls to school is the poor economic condition, another reasons are far off locations of schools and the presence of male teachers there.
The lack of education is the principle creator for many other problems including the issue of Women equality. An ignoramus mother cannot look after her children efficiently as she is not aware of many deadly diseases and their cure. Her lack of knowledge of hygiene may let the poor living condition of her entire family.
These afflictions are like arthropod which is mutilating the veins of the Indian culture. We absolutely need an elucidation for ending such nastiness from this god made dazzling world. Women are your mother, sister, daughter and your wife, treat them gracefully, as you are a part of them. A cordial man should remember that
“Men of quality respect women’s equality”
Whoa, is that English? Where is my dictionary??
