Going through a mind boggling series of dreadful exams, I decided to put aside my books for some time and write something. The only thing that could strike in my mind was : Exams (what else can I think at this time)
The sprint to excel in exams conjure up a thought rightly said by VIRUS from 3 idiots:“Life iss a race tez nahi bhagoge toh log tumhe kuchal ke aagey nikal jaayeinge.”. Though, I used to belong to great Baba Ranchoddas group : “ kamyabi ke piche mat bhago, exellence ke piche bhago, kamyabi jhak marke piche aayegi”.
But my 2 years in an engineering college, has been fluctuating my beliefs and is continuously enforcing me to shift my party to viru sahastrabudhhe.
Started as a knowledge lover in 1st year, I found myself too, running in the marathon for good grades and competing to prove myself better than others.
Now, let us all keep aside imaging ourselves as the perfectionist “rancho or should I say Phunsukh Wangdu” from 3 idiots and see what we actually do.
What happens when in your group of “best buddies” generally securing marks lying in same range, and all of a sudden, one of them actually secure much better marks than rest?
Let me help you with the answer:“Dost fail ho jaye toh dukh hota hai, lekin dost first aa jaye toh jyada dukh hota hai.”
What happens when you are side tracked in front of your friends by your professor, whose focus is always on your friend and the latter is the one who is given all the credit for the work you have done and you are not even appreciated a bit. All the friendship seems to evaporate by the heat of your anger.
The topper of my college started back bitching about a friend from her beloved group, when she secured just 2% more than our “Ms. Topper” in semester exams.
Me and my “so called besties and bench mates” are always in a race to secure better than the other. Though, I never cared much about competition with others, as I always believed in competing yourself. But my true friends , my sweethearts (not those bench mates) forced me to do whatever it takes to grab more marks than them(trust me, even 1 mark more counts !!) else, they are really gonna fry me. So, my exams are going like this:
“chal Dhanno !! Jab tak tere hath chalenge, teri sansein chalengi”
I guess, It’s time to put my pen down and peep into my books and save myself from getting sliced up!
Let’s hope we believe the theory of: Pursuing excellence. Till then: “Aal izz well my friend !” “Aal izz well!” ;-)
