As is sacrosanct in Delhi, the scorching sun has marked the arrival of the summer as well as of the various insects and reptiles. This summer has not only emphatically encapsulated the city in fustian but also intolerably increased the temperature to such an extent that even a bunch of air conditioners fails to conquer this apparition. Many a case of bus accidents due to super-heated engine has also been reported, thanks to this incessant heat. At the same time, the electricity supply in the city has been adversely affected due to this summer’s leading to unremitting intensity.
With a handful of apprehensions, summer also introduces a tinge of aesthetic by entailing an amalgam of cheerfulness and virtuousness under the banner of summer-break during which the students are expected to enrich themselves. It is advisable that the students sit at home during the noon, as it is sunny outside, and complete their home work. The students may involve themselves in some extra-curricular courses like swimming, dancing, drawing, singing and the list goes on.
Since the exposure to the rays coming from the sun is not fruitful for the one’s body, one must avoid going in sun and if going out in sun is a necessity, one must always try to cover oneself so as to annul the adverse effects of skin-burn. Also, one must consume juices, fluids and lemon as much as possible. One needs to learn that one can’t annihilate the heat but can alleviate it by following such precautionary measures.
With this, we hope to strengthen ourselves sufficient enough so as to face the beats of the heat. We also hope that the rain’s exile from the city is temporary. However, when the summer has come, how can the winter be far behind!
