It’s that time of the year again when the delhi university campus is buzzing with the placement season. After three years of college, it’s time for the final year students to step out of student life and get into a job. Questions such as where and which company with what salary?? Seems to be in every final year student’s mind. Delhi University has started its central placement drive for this year. The last date for registration is October 15. Final year students from any DU college or department can register with the Central Placement Cell which has entered into its third year now.
Third-year regular students from all DU colleges can register by filling up a form available on official DU website. They can submit it in their respective college or at the office of the dean of students welfare with a demand draft of Rs 100.
For the first time in past three years, the entire placement drive will be handled by first and second year students from various colleges including St Stephen’s College, Hindu College, Lady Shri Ram College, and Kirori Mal College. These students are now being trained by DU officials. A core group of 50 student volunteers has been formed who would manage the whole event starting from registration to the final listing. DU is also planning to groom students for group discussions and the final interviews with the companies that visit the campus. This would help the final year students to develop skills required for getting into a firm.
So all the DUites who are in their final year…time to get ready for your first job!!!!!
