Bolie na date?” “Hmm I promise.” She hugged him tighter and said, “Sorry I don’t hate you you are so cute.” Soham thought “ye cute agar kisi batsmen ne sun lia to teri to watt lagi kaha people call me Dark lightening and she finds me cute.” He kissed her cheek and she snapped, “Are you planning to have sex?”
Soham jumped back, “Sex? What?” “Yes Sex isi ko lekar to ye Suhag Raat hoti hai na?” “Tumhe ye sab pata hai?” “Yes we had sex education in school. Even my friends said so.”
“No dear I have no such plans I don’t believe just because we are married we’ll have sex.” “Thanks you are really cute”, this time she pulled his cheeks.
He smiled, “it’s pretty late you must be uncomfortable in all these heavy clothes change and go off to sleep.”
“Mera suitcases kaha hai?” “Em er I don’t know.” “Barey aaye captain ek suitcase manage nehi kar sakte field placement kya karoge what will I wear now? This silk is itching” “Wear this!” He handed over his tees, “I guess this will be knee length for you”, and winked at her.
She changed and returned. Soham was settling in the couch when she said, “Ap waha Hindi Serial ke hero ke jaise kyon so rahe ho?” “What?” “Yes in Hindi serials heroes always sleep on the couch. This bed is big enough and believe me I’ll not kick you out.” He came near and said, “Aren’t you scared of me?” “No I am not.” Soham smiled at her innocence and said “Good Night”
She stretched her hand and hit something. She realized she was in some other room and she saw him. Reality dawned on her. Good morning Juhi. But morning wasn’t good for Juhi. Soham’s mom was one orthodox lady who wanted Juhi to cook. Bechari Juhi ko to chai banana bhi nehi aati thi and she burnt her hand. “Didi dekhie is larki ko to kuch nehi pata.” Instead of nursing her wound the ladies were busy lecturing Juhi, “at least I thought she could make kheer it’s a ritual”, whined Bua. Soham had just casually come down for breakfast when he heard the commotion. “Kya hua?” He saw Juhi crying. “Kya hua ise?” “She burnt her hand she has never entered the kitchen. Soham this girl is good for nothing” “You all are so ruthless. My God instead of applying ointment you are after her?” He rushed to her she whispered, “bohut jal raha hai.” He applied the ointment. Soham’s mom fumed, “dekha ek hi din hua hai aur he is already under her spell.” “Ma Bua this is what you wanted na? I get married so that I mellowed down? You found her for me. Then why are you having so many problems now? Juhi chalo mere saath” Later he said, “you are such a cry baby instead of crying you should have opened the tap and placed your hand under it.” “I was scared.” “Juhi don’t worry my family is not bad hmm”, she wasn’t convinced though.
“I am taking the 14.00 hours flight to Mumbai”, he was talking to someone. Juhi was already scared and she presumed he is leaving. “What if he leaves me in this house and goes forever filmo mein to aisa hota hai. They’ll kill me no no way.” She ran to him and hugged him. “Please mat jao mujhe chhor ke”, Soham was amused. He hugged her back, “who’s leaving you hmm?” “You are leaving for Mumbai na?” “Stupid we are leaving for Mumbai.” “You’ll take me along with you? Par Ma ne to kaha tha I’ll stay here?” “Hmm that was my plan as I thought your studies will get affected and I travel such a lot but my little bride is already missing me so!” She blushed and her mind was already doing somersaults.
Soham had a huge fight with his family. His taking Juhi was unplanned. “What will the colony people say?” “Bua did you marry me off to keep her as a showpiece for the colony people? And you know it very well if Soham Desai decides something he does it.” Juhi all the while hid behind him. She was very excited to leave the place and didn’t cry even when she saw her parents the last time before security check. She didn’t miss her friends or her school. She held on to Soham , Soham was her passport to her dream world. She could now become a writer. Soham fastened her seat belt, “how long will this flight take?” “45 minutes”, she looked down from the window amazed. He was reading a magazine when she asked, “apki strike rate kitni hai?” “9.5 kyon?” “Chhi 9.5 Ratul ki to 53.4 hai you are such a bad batsman they send you at the last spot, mostly you make zeroes.” “Juhi I am a bowler not a batsman.” “I hate bolwers!” “And you hate me too?” “No I didn’t mean that listen na I mean I mean you are cute you helped me a lot. Sunie na…” He was faking anger, “sunie na….” “Kya kaha sunie?” he smirked. “No actually you are my hubby so!” Soham smiled inwardly, “at least she has accepted our wedding!” But he still faked anger. “Hmm bolo what were you saying?” “Don’t get angry na mujhe gusse wale logo se bohut daar lagta hai.” He felt like kissing her that very moment to prove that he was anything but angry with her. “You don’t need to do that sunie thing you can call me Soham”, she smiled. “She has a good smile”, he thought.
The airhostess came and asked an autograph from Soham. Soham obliged with a smile and turned back to her, “dekha how popular your hubby is.” She sulked, “not like my Ratul.” She was looking outside the window when she heard a female voice, “autograph please!” She turned and saw a skimpily clad girl drooling over Soham. Soham was being his polite self. “Hey Soham you stay in Bandra right I have a spa there if you would like……” “No he would not like to….Soham was amused again…his disinterested bride spoke this time…he would not like to he doesn’t have time!” “Excuse me Miss?” said the girl. “Not Miss Mrs. I am his wife.” The girl gave a nervous smile and left. “You sound jealous darling!” “Don’t darling me okay!” “Then what should I say Mrs Desai” He laughed and she concentrated on looking outside. “Juhi we’ve reached. Now listen to me carefully there will be a huge media rush here.” “Why?” “Juhi I may not be as famous as your Ratul but I am still the captain of the Indian cricket team so media to aayegi hi na?”

Oh My Soham sure is completely bowled over by this slip of a girl
but seriously am glad that he is such a gentleman and is giving her time to adjust to him, giving themselves time to get to know each other before they take the next step in their relationship though Juhi in her innocence does not realize this …Oho,the typical MIL from hell, kya yaar, poor girl is hurt, has burnt her hand and nobody is bothered abt it,what matters more is that the ritual is not complete :/ .. I wish instead of scolding and taunting her ,saying that she is good for nothing,Soham’s mom and bua had taken the time to teach her,how to make kheer..they would have had the best bahu in the entire society,a friend in Juhi, all their lives…I wish few MIL’s in real life wld learn this as well … Well well,it seems Juhi is going with her hubby to Mumbai and Ahaan,Juhi’s first face-off with the feeling of jealousy and the silly girl still doesn’t realize that she already is in love with her hubby . Looking forward to their journey ….
