Techniche 2012 – IIT Guwahati

Techniche, the annual Techno-Management festival of IIT-Guwahati is proud to present its fourteenth edition, with the theme “PIXELATING PERFECTION”. Techniche has been a success over the years with dedicated efforts towards amplifying North-Eastern India, ranging from social service to technical awareness among children and adults alike. With participation from almost all the national engineering and management institutes of repute, like the NITs, IIMs and other IITs, Techniche provides a platform to the budding engineers, entrepreneurs, innovators, and technocrats of the country to showcase their talent, skills and knowledge in fierce competitions and be inspired by the leaders of innovation.

To celebrate the spirit of innovation, Techniche 2012, which will be held from 30^th August to 2^nd September 2012 at IIT Guwahati, presents myriad events encompassing various techno-management competitions, lecture series by world-renowned dignitaries like Neil Harbisson (world’s first Cyborg), R. Chidambaram (Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India), K Kasturirangan (Former Chairman, ISRO and recepient of Padmashri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan awards), Barry Maher (Motivational speaker and a Sales Guru) and many more, exhibits showcasing the giant technological achievements, technical workshops, popular performances and shows.

The Corporate Module, held in collaboration with the Entrepreneurial Development Cell of IITG organizes events like Brain Child- the annual international Business Plan writing competition which offers a incubation amount of Rs 1 crore; Stratagem, the Marketing Strategy Event in which you will have to propose a practical and concrete plan for the given problem statement; Product Launch, which strives to bring a new innovative product into the market; Virtual Stock Market, in association with Dalaal Street Investment Journal (www.dsij.in/Techniche12.aspx).

Also, this year, for the very first time, Techniche’12 proudly presents The Start-up Showcase. On display, will be a wagon of ten most promising, highly efficient and quickly emerging start-ups of the nation. It’s an unmatchable chance to meet the people who have redefined success, lived their dreams and made it big!
