Transformers Dark of the Moon, the third movie in Transformer’s series created such an impact that the producers now want to make more of them. The movie which grossed nearly $1.1 billion gave a straight message to people- this isn’t the end!
Michael Bay however might be thinking of returning plans. He made it clear a long time ago that Dark of the Moon will be his last Transformer’s film. He however hinted that a reboot might made by some other director, but seeing the gravity of the film, it would require a lot of guts for a reboot. Moreover leading actor Shia Labeouf also stated that he will not return for any Transformer’s film.
Hasbro and Paramount are not in favour of reboot, but are keen to make another sequel which would kick off a new trilogy. The problem they would face will be with scripts and villains. Megatron, Starscream and Shockwave were all killed in the film. However they have the “famous” Unicron, a planet sized transformer and can also introduce Galvatron (who is also newly formed Megatron).
Latest rumour was that Jason Statham (DOTM star Rosie-Huntington Whiteley’s boyfriend) will be the new actor…. but frankly that would be more like who is more kick-ass hero –Optimus Prime or Jason Statham.
Tyrese Gibson also stated that if Michael Bay doesn’t returns Steven Spielberg, who is executive producer of the films might direct the fourth one.
Leaving all apart, the continuation of series is good news for large amount of fans all over the world. But main question is what we can expect from Transformers 4!
